'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden significant honor of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he earlier was, and would seriously think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
