I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
